Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer on our fast paced team, you will design, develop, enhance, and provide support offerings for Intuit. You will be expected to provide a high level of technical leadership for the various development activities within the group.
You will work closely with the team to ensure sound development and implementation of software solutions. You will be integral in the design, build and test phases for the solutions.
Responsibilities will include the following:
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine required software improvements and modifications
• Design, develop, test and maintain new Data offerings/ enhance existing offerings like Customer MDM using Java/J2EE/Web Services
• Continuously improve on technology implementation stack
• Provide technical leadership to the implementation of various projects and lead the exploration and adoption of newer technologies that can serve BIO in the future
• Own overall project deliveries from a technical standpoint and mentor and lead junior members on the team
• Become familiar with the products and architecture of current ecosystem.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management.
• Oversee the deployment, monitoring, performance test and 3rd level operational support of the application from pre-production to production environments

Qualifications

Qualification:
BE/BTech./MCA or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and 9 -12 years of experience in software engineering.
• Expertise in core Java, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, EJB3, JMS, OOAD, Web services and XML
• Good knowledge on HTML,Java script, Ajax, Jason
• Experience on JBoss needed.
• Experience working with SQL and Relational Databases (Oracle)
• Expertise in design, implementation, and maintenance of J2EE applications using test driven development techniques (e.g. JUnit/JUnitEE).
• Experience using Ant or Maven 2, Continuous integration.
• Familiarity with Linux a plus.
• Familiarity with SOA, BPEL & Oracle Fusion middleware would be a plus.
• "Self-starter" attitude and the ability to make decisions independently.
• Ability to provide technical leadership to the team
• Excellent time management and communication skills and a good team player
